Dr. Julie Logan, D.C.
Dr. Julie Logan has spent her career working in the field of biomedical and functional medicine. This approach addresses the fundamental question of what has gone wrong for us become sick, and thus guides how we restore the body to health. This includes the intelligent integration of all the best tools available to use in the realm of healing.
Dr. Logan has worked intensively with the seriously ill patient- those suffering from Lyme, Mold illness, chronic infections, autoimmune diseases and degenerative disorders. Additionally, she offers care for women experiencing hormonal imbalances in perimenopause, menopause and PCOS.
She is well known throughout the Autism Community for specializing in helping children with the symptoms of Autism, ADD/HD, PANDAS/PANS, food sensitivities, allergies, methylation defects, GI issues, and environmental illnesses. She holds a fellowship in the prestigious MAPS organization (Medical Academy of Pediatrics Special needs) and has been working alongside world-renowned Dr. Anju Usman-Singh for over a decade.
In 2023, Dr. Logan moved to Hot Springs, AR and teamed up with Erin Holleman ANP of Natural State Behavioral Health, along with MAPS and TACA (The Autism Community in Action) to bring biomedical care and mentorship for families with special needs children. She will continue to see adults with complex illnesses as well.
Before earning her medical degree, Dr. Julie Logan was introduced to the world of medicine as a desperately ill patient herself. After being diagnosed with acute mercury poisoning and Hashimoto’s Autoimmune Thyroiditis, she began treatment with a chiropractic physician and soon recovered from the disorder.
But as a concerned mother, Dr. Logan was pushed further into the medical world. Educators began telling her that her older son showed signs of ADHD and her younger son developed Autism. Like so many other parents, Dr. Logan was plunged into the struggle to rescue her sons. She watched their amazing paths of recovery through functional medicine and soon she had discovered an incredible truth; the human body has the power to heal itself when given the right care.
From the beginning of her career, Dr. Logan has worked to integrate the beautiful power of chiropractic, nutritive, and nutraceutical interventions to restore proper neurologic function, with targeted therapies for serious debilitating illnesses.
Dr. Logan has spent much of her life competing in high level cycling and triathlon, just recently representing the United States team competing in the World Duathlon Championships in 2017. She is well-versed in managing athletic injuries as well as customizing nutrition to obtain the best health and the best performances.
She obtained her undergraduate degree at Wheaton College and completed her physician’s degree National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, graduating as Valedictorian of her class. She currently works at Natural State Behavioal Health in Arkansas, and True Health Medical and Wellness in Illinois to best serve the pediatric special needs community.
“From athletes to children with ASD and adults with chronic illness or pain, I have seen the body heal from all kinds of conditions – some of which were supposedly incurable,” Dr. Logan states. “It is my passion and privilege to help patients achieve their fullest potential… and the first step is to believe it is possible.”
