Empowering wellness for men, women, and children.
Seeking the root causes of chronic illness and mental health concerns utilizing an integrative approach.
We are an integrative and holistic practice that focuses on biomedical medicine, functional medicine, and integrative psychiatry. We are a team of integrative practitioners with diverse clinical backgrounds who are passionate about helping to support individuals and their families with complex medical and mental health disorders.
Natural State Behavioral Health specializes in treating children and adults utilizing a functional and biomedical medicine approach. Our core philosophy is addressing the root causes of disease and chronic illness, and looking for the underlying causes that are contributing to symptoms. We incorporate the best of traditional western medicine methods of care with integrative and holistic methods of care. This includes prescription medications, botanical medicine, and targeted nutrient therapies when applicable.
You will have a provider who will listen to all of your concerns and symptoms! You will receive a complete examination, current history, past comprehensive medical history, family history, review of medicines, vitamins and supplements as well as assessment of your nutritional and lifestyle path. The history is a very detailed look at your entire life and potential past and present exposures that may be contributing to symptoms. We want to know where you’ve been, what you have done and where you want to go. Our goal is to help individuals reach their fullest potential.
We use medications and treatment from a variety of sources including: Prescription medications, Compounded medications, bioidentical hormones, Botanical Medicine, and Nutraceuticals
We utilize Labcorp, Quest, and Rupa Health for lab testing at this time. We can also send orders to the primary provider's office for basic lab testing as well. Examples of lab testing include: 1. Basic and Advanced Lab testing 2. Genetic and Genomic testing 3. Heavy Metal Testing 4. Organic Acids
We are a certified Spravato treatment center. Spravato is an FDA approved nasal spray utilized for the treatment of individuals with treatment resistant depression (TRD). Individuals who may benefit from adding this treatment to their existing oral antidepressant include those who have had an inadequate response to two or more oral antidepressants. Ketamine is utilized in adults for the treatment of depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder at our clinic. Modes of administration may include IV, IM, and oral troches. We do not utilize ketamine for the treatment of chronic pain at this time. Ketamine is not currently covered by medical insurance but office evaluations may be. Please call our clinic to discuss pricing and to schedule an appointment with Erin Holleman, APRN for an evaluation to see if you are a candidate.
Weight is a complicated issue. Everywhere we turn these days we are told how to look and what to eat. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there is a culture of anti-dieters who push to change nothing and love ourselves as we are. The truth lies somewhere in between. We can work on accepting and loving our body while simultaneously working to change our bodies in a healthy way while using tools and strategies tailored to our individual needs . We will look at contributing factors of weight gain and difficulties with weight loss and work with individuals to support their goals. Factors we look at may include gut health, hormones, nutrient deficiencies, medications, toxins, stress, coping patterns, lifestyle, education regarding a healthy diet, and mental health. We do utilize weight loss drugs as part of the overall treatment plan when indicated. Prescriptions may include medications such as phentermine, Qsymia, Contrave, and GLP-1 medications such as Zepbound, Wegovy, or Saxenda. We tailor treatments to each individual as there is not a one size fits all approach.
Non-invasive testing completed in the office with Dr. Julie Logan, DC. This type of testing pairs well with a functional medicine approach as it detects nutritional deficiencies and other biochemical and bioenergetic imbalances in the body. This testing helps to tailor the treatment plan for each individual. Ongoing monitoring utilizing the electrodermal scan helps the provider to monitor for changes over time that may not have been easily picked up with history and physical examination alone.
